Introduction


  • GDCTDW Automatic Short-time Thermal Current Test Set can be applied to conduct high thermal current test for CT, circuit breaker and other primary equipment of power system.

  • Automatic Short-time Thermal Current Test Set conducts full-automatic short-time thermal current test of current transformer based on national standard GB1206 and international standard IEC60044. 

  • The basic principle of the test set is described as follow. Firstly, The test set measure the impedance of sample circuit of the current transformer connected(or other specimen),and then automatically control output current of the device to target testing current value based on such impedance and the test current as set. The standard test time is 1 second. But if output current and load measured by the device exceeded maximum output of the device, the test set will reduce the test current and expand test duration based on I2t equivalent energy test method given by standards. The maximu duration will be controlled within 5s, and assure energy I2t as imposed on primary circuit of sample during testing will be equivalent to the value obtained during 1s of thermal current attack test.
