Introduction

• GDCTDW Automatic Short-time Thermal Current Test Set can be applied to conduct high thermal current test for CT, circuit breaker and other primary equipment of power system.

• Automatic Short-time Thermal Current Test Set conducts full-automatic short-time thermal current test of current transformer based on national standard GB1206 and international standard IEC60044. 

• The basic principle of the test set is described as follow. Firstly, The test set measure the impedance of sample circuit of the current transformer connected(or other specimen),and then automatically control output current of the device to target testing current value based on such impedance and the test current as set. The standard test time is 1 second. But if output current and load measured by the device exceeded maximum output of the device, the test set will reduce the test current and expand test duration based on I2t equivalent energy test method given by standards. The maximu duration will be controlled within 5s, and assure energy I2t as imposed on primary circuit of sample during testing will be equivalent to the value obtained during 1s of thermal current attack test.

Main Functions

1) Short-time Thermal Current Test Set can measure the primary circuit impedance of the connected sample current transformer/circuit breaker/fault indicator, etc. And adjust the output of the electric voltage regulator of the device based on the measured impedance value to the target value, and then generate the required target test current in the output circuit of the current regulator.

2) Record the amplitude time curves of the sample's primary circuit current, primary circuit voltage, output voltage of the device regulator, and output current of the device regulator during the experimental process.

3) Current Transformer Short-time Thermal Current Test Set can control the device to generate a high current output that reaches the target short-term thermal current effective value in the sample testing circuit, and maintain the specified testing time.

4) It can control the device to generate a high current output with a peak value reaching the target dynamic stable current in the sample testing circuit, and record the value and waveform of the peak current.

5) Automatically control and monitor the entire testing process, and protect against abnormal and erroneous operations during the testing process.

6) Automatically measure and control the I2t energy during the testing process to meet national standard requirements.

7) It can generate standardized WORD test reports or JPG test curve files.
