What is the purpose of a GDZC Series Transformer DC resistance tester?

Publish Time: 2024-04-12     Origin: Site

The DC resistance test of transformer windings is an essential test item for transformers after handover, overhaul, and change of tap changer. The Regulations stipulate that it is necessary to measure the DC resistance of transformer windings during transformer handover, major repairs, minor repairs, changes in tap positions, fault inspections, and pre testing. The purpose is to:

1. Check the welding quality of the internal wires and leads of the winding;

2. Check if the contact at each position of the tap changer is good;

3. Check for any breaks in the winding or lead wires;

4. Check the correctness of the parallel branch and whether there is one or several wire breaks in the winding composed of several parallel wires;

5. Check for any short circuits between layers and turns.

The test current of our GDZC Series transformer winding resistance tester up to 40A. High accuracy, during measurement, it can effectively compensate for the current inertia of large inductance equipment, accelerate the saturation of the iron core, thereby shortening the charging time and improving the measurement speed.
