Capacitive voltage transformers combine high voltage division with electromagnetic conversion, and their testing work is crucial to ensure the reliability of energy metering, relay protection, and system monitoring. However, the unique structure of CVT also brings specific testing challenges, namely the inability to directly conduct conventional transformer characteristic tests on the primary side.
Traditional methods require the use of multiple devices, complex physical disconnection and connection, which is time-consuming and poses security risks. Our GDVA-405 Automatic CT PT analyzer has completely changed this situation through integrated design and intelligent processes.
1. Characteristics
1) Compliance assurance: Our testing logic and process design strictly follow IEC60044-5 (IEC 61869-5) to ensure the authority and reliability of the testing methods for capacitive voltage transformers.
2) Guided testing process: The user interface provides a clear CVT testing specific menu, guiding operators to complete wiring and testing in the correct order, greatly reducing preparation time and human errors.
3) High precision measurement: Optional 4KV voltage booster, CVT ratio error can be less than 0.05%.
4) Data Management and Reporting: Automatically generate professional test reports that comply with international standards, including all test data, curves, and conclusions, supporting one click export for easy archiving and auditing.
5) Computer control: Connect the laptop to GDVA-405 Automatic CT PT Analyzer via Ethernet to achieve computer control operations.

If you have selected the 4KV Voltage Booster, you can use it to test magnetic voltage transformer and capacitive voltage transformer in high accuracy. The reference connection diagram is as figure 3.14. The test setup window is as figure 5.16 when you select VT ratio test with 4KV Voltage Booster.
