GDWS Micro-Moisture Dew Point Analyzer, based on the DL/T506-2007 sulfur hexafluoride insulating gas humidity detection standard, is equipped with an original high-performance sensing unit from overseas, coupled with an anti-pollution gas line filter module. The instrument not only outputs the final dew point and volume fraction results but also provides real-time humidity trend curves, helping testers determine whether gas replacement is complete and whether the readings have truly reached a steady state.

Why should we look at the trend curve instead of directly reading the numbers on the screen?
When the sample gas is first connected, ambient air remains inside the pipeline, and gas replacement is not yet complete, causing the readings to drift. A flat curve indicates that the internal gas path has reached equilibrium with the sample gas, and only then will the recorded data meet the test judgment requirements of DL/T506-2007.
What is the purpose of the multi-specification adapter kit?
The thread specifications of the gas charging ports of GIS and SF6 circuit breakers from different manufacturers in China are not standardized. The adapter kit reduces the need to find replacement parts on-site and ensures the joint seal, avoiding lower readings due to minor leaks.
Can the instrument be calibrated without returning to the factory?
The instrument has a local zero-point and range calibration interface. As long as a standard dew point gas source is available, parameter correction can be completed on-site. However, complete metrological verification is still recommended to be performed by a qualified metrology institution.
What gases besides SF₆ can be measured?
Dew point humidity measurement can be performed using non-corrosive inert gases such as nitrogen and dry air, but it cannot be used with gases containing acidic or corrosive components.
