GDJF-2002 Partial discharge tester is a high-precision instrument used to detect internal partial discharge phenomena in power equipment such as transformers, cables, GIS, etc. Partial discharge (PD) is a phenomenon in which insulation materials undergo minor breakdown under high voltage electric fields, and long-term existence may cause equipment insulation degradation or even failure. By detecting partial discharge, potential equipment hazards can be detected in advance, ensuring the safe operation of the power system.

Test method of GDJF-2002 partial discharge Tester: Pulse current method


The pulse current method is a classic method for partial discharge detection, following the IEC 60270 international standard.

It evaluates the insulation state of electrical equipment by directly measuring the instantaneous current pulses generated by partial discharge. This method is known for its high precision and quantitative analysis, and is one of the most widely used techniques in laboratory and field testing.
